Recording Agreement Info

Please carefully read through the following agreement.

Booking & Payment

  • A booking is only confirmed once the required deposit has been paid.
  • The remaining balance is due 14 days after the final recording session, unless otherwise agreed in writing. (No files or work will be given until the remaining balance has been paid).
  • Deposits are non-refundable unless the booking is cancelled by Kayla (KS.Production). Please keep in mind that the booking will most likely result in a reschedule rather than a cancellation.

Session Time

  • Session time begins at the scheduled booking time going for the duration of the booking.
  • Late arrivals will reduce the available session time and will not extend the booking.
  • Additional studio time is subject to availability and will incur an additional charge of $50 an hour.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Bookings can only be rescheduled on the client’s request if it is at least 5 business days before the booking.
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the loss of the deposit.
  • KS.Production reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances.

Photography & Social Media

  • The client grants Kayla (KS.Production) permission to capture photos and short videos during the session for promotional purposes. The client may opt out by notifying Kayla before the session.

Client Responsibilities

The Client confirms that:
  • They have the legal right to record and reproduce any material brought into the session.
  • They have obtained any required permissions, licences, or approvals.
  • They are responsible for the conduct of anyone they wish to bring to the studio.

Ownership

  • The Client retains ownership of their original compositions and recordings, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • KS.Production retains ownership of any studio templates, production techniques, project files, and proprietary resources used during the session.
  • Full payment must be received before the final files are released.

Credits

  • The client agrees to credit KS.Production as the recording engineer for the agreed percentage.

Studio Conduct

  • Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.
  • Illegal substances, abusive behaviour, or intentional damage to the equipment will result in immediate termination of the session without a refund.

Liability

KS.Production is not responsible for:
  • Loss of damage of personal belongings
  • Delays caused by equipment failure, power outages, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
  • Any indirect or consequential losses arising from the recording session.
